Percepta, A User-Centred Approach

The impact of a websites on a company’s communications can never be under-estimated. It sets the tone for so many different and important situations – it helps to win over prospective customers, keep up communications with existing stakeholders, attract the right people to an organisation and set out a clear vision for the future.

These were just some of the ‘asks’ we received from Percepta when being asked to design and build their new company website. Percepta is a US-based customer experience company which operates worldwide providing strategic and operational services to help large organisations build better stakeholder relationships. The majority of their work is with the automotive industry where they help companies such as Ford Motor Company, Lincoln, Jaguar Land Rover, Volkswagen Group, etc where they provide customer journey mapping, dealer-training, call-centre support amongst a whole host of other services.

They were looking for a new site which would help them win more work with retained clients, bolster their tendering processes with clients outside the automotive sector and raise the overall profile of the organisation. Percepta’s services tended to require approval from different decision makers in many different departments of the companies they worked with so the website was key to successfully communicating these messages.

This is ‘Percepta Website, A User-Centred Approach.’

Large, bold and impactful images were seen as a crucial step forward for Percepta in the design of their new website. The site had to be a significant step forward in terms of brand appeal, user-experience and multi-device functionality. The hero image above has large groups of people at its heart of but with an abstract birds-eye view suggesting a more data-lead approach in-line with Percepta’s approach. 

 

 

 

A user-centred approach of the overall project was demonstrated most significantly with this unique infographic – which has an actual user at the heart of Percepta’s stakeholder experience.

 

 

One of the biggest advantages that Percepta offered its customers was its ability to provide a much wider range of services all contributing to a more integrated customer experience. We created special composite icon graphics for composite services. These were both highlights of Percepta’s overall offering and one of the highlights of the new website. 

 

 

 

The creation of a site which functioned outstandingly well on all devices was seen as incredibly important to Percepta. We are delighted to have achieved this. 

 

 

 

A range of carefully selected stock images were used which would showcase different people at the heart of Percepta’s various offerings. The images were carefully selected to be both interesting and all-encompassing. 

 

 

 

Being able to showcase previous valuable experience, particularly of the multi-service approach, was an important part of the site. Easy-access case-studies were created with professionally written copy – giving potential buyers, users, operators, etc a sneak preview into what additional value Percepta could offer them. 

 

 

 

These case-studies were given for each and every service and a wide range of composite services too.

 

 

 

 

The animation of the customer-infographic was a crucial development to further increase the overall quality of the user-experience. 

 

 

 

One of the most successful parts of the project was the creation of a bespoke icon-suite for Percepta which showcased the organisation’s unique composite services. Here are some of the beautiful graphic we created on their behalf. 

 

 

 

Extensive ideas were explored for the communication of Percepta’s various service offerings – from sketch through to realisation. 

 

 

 

We even experimented with the creation of ‘Sacred Geometry’ inspired value icons. 

 

 

 


UI/UX was at the heart of the design process to ensure that the correct website users would be taken to the appropriate information as easily and effectively as possible. 

 

 

 

The loft collaborated with Percepta and, in particular, their Global Vice President of Client Services Alan Meldrum on a number of other projects including his presentation ‘Frictionless Experience in a Disruptive World.’ 

 

 

 

 

Which was later filmed by the loft with highlights which can be seen above… 

 

 

 

Both companies collaborated on a range of other projects including this creative work for ‘The Henry Ford Academy.’ 

 

 

 

And the creation of a stunning brand-experience for ‘Vignale’ the luxury Sub-brand of Ford Motor Company.
