GLASGOW CITY MARKETING BUREAU

BRIEF
It has always been a dream of our studio, since

inception, to work with our home city – Glasgow. You can

imagine how delighted we were when given the opportunity

to work with the ultra-successful ‘Glasgow City Marketing

Bureau’ in early 2015.
The brief was to design an info-graphic which brings some

very impressive statistics to life and create an

impactful celebration of ‘a decade of success’ for The

Glasgow City Marketing Bureau since its inception in

2005.

SOLUTION
Impactful statistics such as ‘£1.2 billion value of

business tourism secured by the city since 2005′, being

named ‘the UK’s best convention bureau nine years in a

row’ and ‘3323 conferences secured in 10 years,’ were

just some of the many impressive numbers we were asked to

bring to life in pictures.
We created a range of design themes in collaboration with their staff

of The Glasgow City Marketing Bureau and decided on a

graphical depiction of The Glasgow City Skyline. We

wanted to make the most of the The People Makes Glasgow

brand by tying the iconic skyline alongside the Rubine Red

brand colour and a range of numbers with some simple,

yet effective pictograms.

RESULT
The final design was featured in the Glasgow press during

the week-long birthday celebrations for The Bureau and

the final version has spawned several variations. It has

been very well received by everybody both inside and

outside The Glasgow City Marketing Bureau.

The info-graphic and individual graphical stories shall

be used by the bureau when telling their own story to

potential partners and we look forward to collaborating

with The Glasgow City Marketing Bureau on further

projects very soon.
