BBC Own It is an organisation that exists to protect young people online. They wanted to raise awareness of the dangers of smartphone data-theft to its 12-18 year old audience.
We worked alongside the BBC to create a fun campaign bringing the smartphone to life as a character and illustrating it doing a range of harmful activities. The campaigns were featured on a number of online (and eventually offline) communications by the BBC.
The campaigns were a tremendous success for the BBC, who eventually adopted the creative direction in-house, with the messages helping the organisation to raise awareness of the significant dangers of data-theft with smartphones.
