GLASGOW CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

BRIEF

The summer of 2014 was a significant time for Glasgow, the city was celebrating the hosting of the Commonwealth Games, the Scottish Independence Referendum was a very live topic in the background and most significantly the city was going through a period of economic success. Success that was mirrored by the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce.

We were delighted to be asked to create an infographic that would provide an ‘at-a-glance summary’ of these parallel success stories, the design would be featured as a centrepiece in ‘The Glasgow Business Magazine.’

SOLUTION

We created a visually striking piece of work, something that would entice a reader to want to learn more. The infographic was made up of skyscraper buildings showing the growth of the city. The tagline ‘Glasgow on the Rise’ was used.

Key statistics such as 4,250 people attending Chambers events, a 30% increase in mid-size company memberships and a 15% increase in Premium Partners were all highlighted to showcase individual success stories. Great efforts were made to ensure that there was an appropriate balance between visual drama and important information being communicated to the reader.

RESULT

“It was a real pleasure to work with the team at the loft. They understood the brief instantly and were able to execute the infographic perfectly. It’s resulted in a really impactful piece of creative which forms a centre fold to our bi-monthly magazine and has been very well received by our readership.”

Richard Muir, Deputy Chief Executive of The Glasgow Chamber of Commerce

ALTIA INFOGRAPHICS

BRIEF

Altia Solutions are a rapidly growing software company that helps investigators save time, increase productivity and improve the accuracy of their investigations. They serve customers nationally and internationally.

The company was looking for a graphical image, which their sales teams could use as an elevator pitch, when giving demonstrations of their software solutions. The final result would be used at trade shows, demos and by their team in conversation with existing and prospective clients.

SOLUTION

We begun with the Altia software sub-brands and made the decision to explode, extrude and transform them into three-dimensions.

Each image has complimentary 2D infographics that explain what the software does and the contrast of simple information with the drama of the exploded objects help to create a very bold, purposeful and useful series of reference images.

RESULT

“Altia have been working closely with the loft for several years and throughout they have listened to us and understood what we were looking for and then delivered excellent concepts and ideas. In that time they have delivered an updated branding for the company, new branding for new business streams and products, all the artwork for our brochures and marketing collateral and the branding and artwork for a major UK police conference that we sponsor. I am always confident that the loft team will come up with designs that are ready to use and often to tight deadlines.”

WOMEN’S ENTERPRISE SCOTLAND

BRIEF

Women’s Enterprise Scotland ‘provide inspiration, information and a voice for women in business.’ They have a tremendous story to tell. Statistics such as ‘women-led businesses contribute more than £5billion towards the Scottish economy’ and ’94,000 women in Scotland are self-employed.’

Women’s Enterprise Scotland asked the loft to create an infographic that would display these statistics as well as provide a design to their ‘Action Framework.’

SOLUTION

We worked closely with each of the members of the Women’s Enterprise Scotland team to create an infographic that visually told a story of growth for female entrepreneurs in Scotland. We designed an abstract flower that contained elements of information while also proudly incorporating the colours of the famous Suffragette movement at the request of the client.

The infographic was designed to be compatible in both digital and print formats and was complimented with a specially branded document for their ‘Action Framework Launch.’

Printed brochures were created for ‘The Women’s Enterprise Action Framework Launch’ in Edinburgh to John Swinney MSP and Angela Constance MSP.

RESULT

The infographic brochure and action framework all helped to present the case for women’s enterprise in Scotland.

“Women’s Enterprise Scotland enjoyed working with the loft on a project to help us demonstrate pictorially what we do. We were pleased with the process from start to end product. They listened to our brief and developed a creative concept that suited our needs and budget.”

Margaret Gibson, Chief Executive, Women’s Enterprise Scotland

SPRINGBOARD MARKETING

BRIEF

Springboard Marketing are a company which provides intelligent sales solutions for their clients using a range of services including telemarketing and CRM System Management. They greatly increase the efficiency of sales teams. One of the biggest challenges faced by Springboard Marketing was persuading their client’s sales staff to use and record lead data to allow managers to better assess their pipelines.

SOLUTION

We worked closely with Springboard’s founder, Steven Sibbald, and one of their key clients to create a ‘board game infographic’ which would encourage sales staff to follow prescribed processes. We worked to ensure that the most important information was present in the final solution yet the game was simple enough to adopt. As part of the final solution, we had great fun creating individual avatars for some of the key people in the company.

RESULT

The final digital and printed versions of the board game infographic were widely used by a number of the sales staff of the client of Springboard Marketing. Job done!

“The loft did an outstanding job in assisting us with a very complex piece of work. They created an exceptional solution that was both creative and beautifully finished. Great team, good fun and brilliant designers.”

Steven Sibbald, Managing Director of Springboard Marketing
