PMA Recruitment Services Website

BRIEF

PMA Recruitment Services are an energetic, bold and service-led Glasgow-based start-up. They have a specialist focus for construction sector recruitment and were looking to make an impactful introduction with their new brand and marketing.

In addition to company branding, we were asked to design and build a new website which looked great, built on the idea of sustainable recruiting and have additional functionality. We were asked to include features such as up-to-date job listings and an application form where candidates could upload their details.

They also wanted their site to showcase the company’s positive approach to mental health.

SOLUTION

As mentioned, creating stable working environments, which supports positive mental health, was important for PMA and something we wanted to get across. We created a suite of art-directed photographs of PMA employees on-site, relaxed and enjoying their work.

These photos formed an important part in the design of the new website. In addition to that, a bespoke application form was created while certain measures such as service lists, Google Reviews and CDNs were used to enhance SEO.

RESULT

The site has been a massive success since launch and the loft continues to work closely with PMA Recruitment Services.

“Benedetto and his team at the loft have been a key partner in getting our business up and running. They have supported us from the off from our brand design to our website. Offering a service we as a start-up business have been able to rely on. Should you need any support with branding, website design or modern ideas for your business, we would totally recommend the loft and their professional team.”

TRADEPRINT

BRIEF

Tradeprint is a printing franchise with highly sophisticated production facilities all over the country. The company have grown rapidly over several years and were looking for a campaign to help them continue their strong commercial growth.

They were looking for something which helped to communicate their ability to provide a high-quality, artisan service combined with the efficiency and reliability of more mainstream suppliers.

SOLUTION

The loft wanted to put the expertise of Tradeprint’s print coaches front and centre of the campaign. Seasoned professionals with a real knowledge of both the print processes and the customer themselves. We noted they had an awesome ability to shape their service to the needs of each and every client.

‘The People Behind Print’ was born. We created a series of evocative black and white photographs of the coaches in a range of poses showing the serious and fun sides of their personalities. Finally, we created an animated visual of the Tradeprint print coaches re-created with their own materials.

RESULT

Everybody was delighted with the results – the final images for both the staff portraits and the images of them on print materials have been used throughout the company’s marketing.

This includes print advertisements, website landing pages, social media and other digital communications. The creation of a video showing the transition of one of the print coaches from serious to funny facial expressions and back again was one of the project highlights.

#GYPSEMINARSERIES

BRIEF

The loft’s founder Benedetto is passionate about personal development. While sitting as a committee member for Glasgow Young Professionals (GYP) a few years back, he and the team had the idea of organising a set of seminars to feature some of the best business stars in Scotland. They would be free, made available to the entire membership and would be called the #GYPSeminarSeries

SOLUTION

The loft played a huge part in the organisation of these events and were delighted to work with a series of outstanding speakers including Russell Wardrop, Alan Meldrum, Charlie Burton and one of Scotland’s leading entrepreneurs/philanthropists – Iain MacRitchie. The loft were responsible for the marketing of the events and created a series of effective social media campaigns featuring creative, art-directed photographs for each of the speakers. MacRoberts Solicitors, SocietyM and particularly The Clydesdale Bank in Glasgow (with their stunning St Vincent Street space) all kindly provided venues.

RESULT

The seminars were a huge success, particularly the Clydesdale Bank events. The mini social media campaigns and the striking imagery played a real part too. Even the speakers benefited from being part of the process, with some of the ideas and themes used in the campaigns being adopted as part of their own marketing communications.

CRAFT WHISKY CLUB

BRIEF

The Craft Whisky Club is an online subscription service for whisky lovers, they source and deliver rare whiskies to members all across the globe. They also encourage a much richer whisky tasting experience by matching the appropriate foods to accompany rare expressions.

They wanted a campaign to promote Raasay’s ‘While We Wait’ expression and asked the loft to create something which would tell a compelling story.

SOLUTION

This campaign was about much more than whisky.

The value of Craft Whisky Club is the creation of an entire experience for it’s whisky-loving clientele. We wanted to communicate that experience for ‘While We Wait’ and decided to create an art-directed, set piece image which would include each of the ingredients from the tasting notes of this rare whisky – peppers, liquorice, dried fruit, creamy blue cheese, cherries, brambles, grain and salt, etc.

They were all formed like a clock with a meticulous attention to detail, the lighting was designed to shine through the glass to create a shadow and each of these different cues were all created to mimic the sundial image used on the label and create a true representation of the final whisky expression.

RESULT

“The process we went through to derive the While We Wait concept art was very enjoyable indeed. The invite to attend at the inception and final stages made me really feel a part of the process and collaborating with the loft team on the details of materials, shadow and final photography made me really feel my needs were catered for. Every time I look at the results I feel a real attachment and pride.”

SCOTTISH LEATHER GROUP

BRIEF

Scottish Leather Group are a leather producer with plants around Scotland. They’ve made significant investments over many years to improve the sustainability of their plants, practices and overall organisation. As a result, they have one of the lowest carbon footprints for leather production in Europe.

We were delighted to be given the opportunity to help produce their 2016 Sustainability Report. The organisation was looking to highlight some of the exceptional sustainability outcomes they had achieved. The report would represent a significant step forward for the company and we were asked that it include infographics for the first time.

SOLUTION

Infographics were used to beautifully showcase some of the company’s more impressive data-led results such as a reduction in C02 emissions, reduced water waste and a more efficient use of resources.

We produced some beautiful art-directed photography of the factory and worked closely with the entire team at Scottish Leather Group to include interviews of various staff members, giving a more personal approach to the overall report.

RESULT

The project was a huge success. In addition to the printed report, there was a digital version and many of the features were shared on social media as additional campaigns too.

“Production of our Annual Sustainability Report used to be one of the most stressful jobs in the marketing calendar due to its complexity and tight deadline. This year it was stress-free, thanks to everybody involved including the loft. It is a marked improvement on earlier versions and the introduction of infographics has transformed this publication.”

CONSILIUM

BRIEF

In the Autumn of 2013, six experienced Chartered Accountants started a new Glasgow-based firm and opened the doors to Consilium.

The company was set up to provide a client-focused service for Scottish businesses and we were delighted to be given the opportunity to help them by building a new website.

SOLUTION

We wanted to get under the skin of Consilium and learn more about their people to find out what made them tick. We found that, almost in every case, there was an emphasis on building proper long-term relationships with clients and a desire to understand their businesses.

We built on a theme of ‘getting to know the people behind the numbers’ and brought this to life with the tagline on the home-page of the website, the art-directed photography of the partners in-situ and including each member of their team on the website.

RESULT

“The loft designed and built a tremendous website for Consilium which very nicely summarises who we are and what we are about. It was a fun process, the site works exceptionally well and we have received many compliments on its look and feel. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the loft to others.”

John Blair, Corporate Finance Partner for Consilium Chartered Accountants
