Altia is a leading provider of software for investigators, their products save time, increase productivity and improve accuracy. It is also a co-founder of a major annual industry conference called SOCEX (Serious and Organised Crime Exchange.) Altia wanted a design and marketing asset that would burn their name into the minds of decision-making delegates.

The loft created a bespoke newspaper, The Altia Times, featuring sector specific news and information, interviews with some of the leading delegates at the conference, bespoke adverts, an accurate (well, as accurate as the Met Office) weather report for the venue, a police-themed crossword and relevant well-written editorial. We based the design on The Times newspaper and themed it around the big issues and hot topics being discussed each day of the conference. We pride ourselves on attention to detail and understanding the ‘pain point’ for our clients, so we created a memorable ‘keep stretching, they are almost at breaking point’ illustration, which highlighted the challenges faced across the police at that time due to funding cuts.

The Altia Times was read and enjoyed by all the delegates and worked well to position Altia front and centre in the minds of decision makers.

Altia were delighted with the results, so much so that a second one was created the following year and subsequent versions will be created in the future.

“When Altia decided to develop and be the lead sponsor of the ‘SOCEX 2015’ conference and the 10th annual ‘Keith Hughes Awards,’ the loft worked closely with us, and the event management company, to produce the unique branding for each of the events. They delivered excellent work within tight deadlines and the results were commented on very favourably by many of the attendees.”
